Hedi Slimane might be making St. Laurent. It is another surprise for us who have been shrugging the gossips away for a while now. But when Kering chair and us president Francois-Henri Pinault declares that a choice will become by the end of Goal, we anticipate the most severe. Speaks are one thing, but there is a reason gossips start usually and it may be the last Hedi Slimane St. Laurent display we see this season. The St. Laurent fall/winter 2016-2017 driveway display was actually organised in Los Angeles, the Area of Angels, and it might just be the last driveway display Slimane gets to do there.

He became innovative home of the trademark this year and really assisted change the style, taking it out of the diminishing record it was becoming, at the same time sometimes in a trashy way. We can still keep in mind the display where it seems to be the gathering had introduced some low compensated hookers to the field. That was his grunge we know, with actual understanding of second hand store looks based on that of Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, and Coachella rocking chairs.

This season, it is the Fiftieth birthday of the Rive Gauche selection and the party you can see. Quitting the grunge charm look, Slimane has introduced some elegant designs that once again fragrance of prosperity and a good style, as per what Yves St. Laurent seems to be for. It was a mixture of men’s and women’s designs with stunning gold on dark printed extensive pants feet, charming set overcoats with emphasized shoulder area, set culottes, soft silk shirts, gold overcoats and some large straps cinching in the waistline and completing off the outfits with quite the crescendo.

While the hair and cosmetics still has remains of the grunge, the outfits itself has developed into something more relatable and likeable, something a lady can use out for a day in town, on the way to work or even on a day. We do see set trousers appear on too slim designs, but it is the outfits with the set coat, slim trousers and soft silk headscarf shirts that really get our interest.

The driveway presented 93 looks and we were adoring them. Most of these were men’s as well, making it all even better. Studded outfits and long set layers with fur collars for dogs really do entice us, while there is just something about mixing velvety and set that makes a elegance only St. Laurent is aware of.

No, we have to say that the St. Laurent drop 2016 selection introduced the product back again entirely and we have experienced every last second of the display. Jumpsuits with culottes, check! Mr. woods printing, check! Shining gold outfits, check! There were some creature styles in there as well, from the competition lines to the fantastic peacock down, the leopard print out trousers to the jaguar layers.

Silk, silk, set, tweed, velvety, suede and just about any other content showed up on the driveway, though we are grateful there were no ostrich down. It was certainly attractive, even with hardly any skin proven. Perhaps that included to most of the entice as there was an classics but offerings impact to the whole of the line-up. Thank you for this Hedi, we really required it!
